I am 72 years young and need to get back in shape ,and don’t laugh at this statement ,I have the want to and much more than that I have the got to .I have saw the ads where the older guys are sporting a superman body at 70 years old and take them with a grain of salt .But my problem is different from most other guys .At this time I am retired and mostly sit on my ass except a little yard work and things around the house .I do good for my age but I feel it slipping away real fast now all of a sudden .This will really make you laugh ,because I have two kinds of heart trouble w/a pacemaker installed recently .I also have type two diabetes for several years . What worries me now is my core muscles are just about shot ,I am having trouble getting up from my chair are from anywhere ,meaning if I get down all the way ,someone will likely have to help me up .What are your thoughts so far before I write a book about myself . Is there hope for someone such as me are should I just go ahead and role over and die . Back in the day I worked as a bouncer in some tough bars across town and the rest of the country,I very well know how it feels to be built good ,everyone always thought I was football p-layer ,a weight lifter,a wrestler etc..I think of familiar remarks such as he is 3 axe handles across the shoulders ,when I was a teenager I made my spending money picking up the back of cars ,and arm wrestling .But am I just wishful thinking now ,I know I will never see those days again ,but is there any hope ???And oh yeah I almost forgot to mention that I just had a shot of cortisone in my back because of a compressed disk . .
