Hey Vince, thanks for the note; I am on the home computer now, and can re-post my reply here. First, thanks for your message and all that you do. I feel I can look up to you and you do inspire me to become a better me.

You are 80% correct...change begins with us...we must work from the inside to change ourselves, then we become a manifestation outside of our inner world, which in turn "attracts" the things we want to us, to live out our potential in all areas of life. By nature, most of us are programed from an early age...it is not success or failure, but simply results. if the results are not satisfactory, then the cause within must be found and addressed. No one can do this for us.

I have talked with numerous people about this topic when attempting to engage them in considering their own businesses...it is frustrating that so many think that just because President Obama is our new leader, everything will just fall into place overnight. If one has negative thinking about themselves and their abilities and circumstances, this thinking must be undone from the inside. When I speak to people often and ask how they are..."well, under the circumstances...? I want to say, "what are you doing under there???? Come from under there and get on with it..." LOL.

Now, as for the 20%, I don't agree with, President Obama was "ordained" to to do this job at this point and time in our history. In a way he is the "miracle worker for some, only in the sense that many of the African American people around the world have not been able to move forward because of the stigma attached to them in this country especially. Some have prospered in spite of it; others simply have not; it is what it is. I have many African American friends and it would fill a book to share all the stories I have heard.

You would not understand because this has not been your struggle; you could never see it and feel it as they do. I look around me at people who are in their 70's and beyond; I cannot even begin to imagine what is going through their hearts and their minds. For youth I believe it can be inspiring and it is important that parents and grand-parents, and other leaders take the action required; to explain how this event has and will change some lives forevever.

Again, it still requires the work on the individual first, but I believe that now, there is a deeper realization that these people could develope a deeper feeling about themselves; a stronger belief in themselves, and how they relate to the world becuase of what happened on January 20th. When one truly believes, one acts; a different energy is radiated and all that is desired begins to appear.

You are obviously very popluar, you have your health, a perfect body, face, an extremely successful business model (which I hope to learn from you in my own endeavors,) you don't have to "work" anywhere you don't want to be; your "job" is what you love to do; it is directly related to who you are. It is always easier to speak with authority and confidence when one has achieved everything (or least on the right path) they want. Might there be some things you have not achieved? Perhaps, but I don't know you so only you can answer that. Are there things I have not achieved yet...of course and there is more to learn. I would rather drive an old car down the road to success, than to sit and look at a new one in the driveway that says failure on the temporary license plate.

This was a great blog...thanks again for posting it.

I like this post. I agree, OBAMA WILL NOT change my LIFE, He's not going to take me to a 6figure income, he's not going to raise my self esteem, he's not going to drop 50lbs for me, he's not going to change the hearts of those doing crimes on the streets. He's not going to make it so I find the type of love life I want, he's not going to empower the lower-middle class the ABILITY to amass wealth for themselves. All this said, I know that he will do his best to lead this country. I know he will work both parties to the best of his ability. and what he REPRESENTS, is what this great country has been about the whole time, the Land of Opportunity, where ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. Not to erase the memory of our past history of bigotry, however, we our making progress into a more positive direction. THough I didn't vote for him, I'm proud of this nation, and hope the best for the new direction of this country under his leadership.

and for those of you small-minded people who can't stand another opinion than yours, or another thought, value, than yours, that you get highly offended, and unlist from a site about fitness of body, and MIND, I encourage you to do some personal growth. No one can offend you, without you giving them permission. = )

Opened a can of worms here didn't you Vince. LOL I saw where you were going with this if readers read the whole thing. Obama is a big deal since our foreign policy for the last 8 years has been, well, wrong! Not only that, the deregulation's here in the U.S. has allowed corporations to "run-a-muck" getting us into this insane recession. So, in a way, Obama is a very big deal, not to mention his skin color, a first in the White House!

Beyond that, yes, it will take each individual to change themselves, and we must all work together to make this country great again! ;-)<div class="comment-remix-meta"><a href="#" class="replyto" onclick="replyto('4415','Sean'); return false;">Reply</a> - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('4415','Sean','Opened a can of worms here didn\'t you Vince.
I meant to say one final comment. For anyone who has followed me the past 2.5 years online, you'll know I've NEVER talked about politics, and yes, like everyone else I respect what President Obama has accomplished, but I also want to emphasize that I think that President Obama's message is a message of hope that comes from people taking charge of their own lives, and so that is the spirit in which I wrote this "rant" as the majority interpreted correctly. Thanks for letting me share.<div class="comment-remix-meta"><a href="#" class="replyto" onclick="replyto('4483','Vince'); return false;">Reply</a> - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('4483','Vince','I meant to say one final comment.
The movie Wall-E depicts what happens to a society when it stops taking personal responsibility. Thanks for taking the risk to say what needed to be said. You are much admired for it and a great example to follow. Thanks!

I liked it Vince, I just want to tell everyone. The whole concept is to make the individual; that's you, to make a decision to get up and motivate yourself and to take control of your own life, and every decision you make will eventually lead you to bettering yourself, and getting a grasp on your own reality know matter the situation, predicament, or who's head of the country...... Stand up for yourself and set goals that you will meet and surpass in the future. Work your way up and never look back. Just remember you are in control of your life know one else. So make a change in it...

Vince, I totally agree with what you said. Back in 2005 I took control of my health and totally changed my lifestyle. Then I was 225 pounds, wore a size 38 jeans and ate alot of junk. Today I'm wearing a size 33 jeans, exercise regularly and watch what I eat. I went to my nutritionist yesterday for a complete checkup on my BF% and measurements. Here's the results; 193.4 Total Weight, 177.36 Lean Weight, and 16.04 Fat Weight for a BF% of 8.29%. Also had measurements taken and they are 16" neck, 46 1/2" chest, 32" waist, and 24.5" thighs along with 18 1/8". This is what you get when you become your own CEO in total charge of your health and fitness. By the way, I'm closer to 60 than 59 and in as good or better shape than I was in highschool!
