I used the 21 Day Fast Mass Building program immediately after preparing for a recent magazine photo-shoot I had in Toronto Ontario at the end of November 2010. After 1 week cutting, I began the 2nd phase (2 weeks bulking) and by the end of the 21 days I had packed on 10lbs of pure lean mass while still keeping my abs.
I basically kept my conditioning and definition all while filling up my depleted muscle glycogen stores and watching my muscles expand as they soaked up the extra calories. Unbelievable!
The best part is that normally while bulking continuously, I find it hard to constantly consume excess calories and my body starts to feel slightly sluggish after about 2-3 weeks, but I felt great cycling calories over the weeks and it kept my metabolism in muscle building mode.
My biggest fear was losing size or my metabolism slowing down during the fat loss week, but I actually looked better (and bigger) after the 1 week fat loss phase and since it is only 1 week, my strength and endurance did not suffer and the priming phase allowed me to pack on lean mass in phase 2 without worrying about fat gain.

For roughly the past 10 weeks (after having gotten down to under 5% Body Fat) I was working on putting on some size ñ basically bulking. I made some fairly decent gains but noticed that they were starting to level out, which meant I was about to hit a plateau. Enter Vince and Lee’s new diet. I was planning to do a bit of cutting, but figured this would be a nice way to finish my current mass gain phase.
Man, I just loved it! I decided to follow a 1 week primer phase, 2 week rebound phase, schedule. The cutting was fairly laid back, since carb intake wasn’t restricted that much. Then once I put myself in a caloric surplus my gains went through the roof ñ while still saying relatively lean! |
I think that if I would have been in a caloric deficit for 2 weeks, and a surplus for 1, my lean muscle gains may have been cleaner, and that I might have gained a little more mass, as I noticed that my gains started to even out as I went into the final week of the diet.
I decided to stick to a clean diet, only having allowed myself to have one cheat meal. Another thing which I did was I incorporated some post-workout cardio. It wasn’t too much, just about 10 mins of steady pace walking on a steep incline. I did this to avoid any ‘spillage’ of carbs/energy, which would result in fat gains. I think this is what helped me stay relatively lean.
I think that this diet is perfect if you’re hitting a plateau in your mass building phase, or as a finisher to such a phase ñ kind of like a last hoorah.
Overall, the diet really surprised me. I didn’t expect to make the gains I did in such a short time, let alone such clean gains. This is definitely something I’ll be using in the future.

Testing out a nutritional strategy to gain lean muscle while keeping down body fat was intriguing to me. My metabolism seemed to have stalled while bulking over the last several months so I wanted to see if there was a way to “confuse” my metabolism and get it fired up.
Knowing I would be on a low calorie diet for one week then two weeks of a high calorie diet is an interesting concept so I wanted to be a part of the test group to see if this was an effective way to gain lean muscle. I found a side benefit from this strategy was an increased appetite when I began Phase 2. Previously, my appetite was almost nonexistent and I had issues trying to consume the amount of food needed to bulk.

My max bench press was 135 but now I after just 21 days I maxed out at 150 pounds! My chin-ups increased from doing 9 and now can literally do 19 in a row. Aimo is spot on with the weight increase, always keep
pushing the body. The mistake I was making was, I think using isolation excersises and overtraining. You want to do compound excerises- squats, dead lifts, bench press, dips and pullups. Vince explains them on a YouTube clip and 2 others. Squats are the best hormone release and if working chest I’ll always throw in 3 sets of squats, seems to bring the chest out even more.
Workouts are also limited to 30-40 mins of hard training, feel as lightheaded as possible lol!
The correct diet is very important and getting your head around eating 3000 calories and planning ahead takes time, it’s a complete life style change but it’s worth it. When planning a meal think protien, carbs and good fats. another Vince tip and is more important than doing squats would be buy food that has 1 ingrediant. Chicken is chicken, broccoli is broccoli, a carrot is a … You get what I’m saying.
Supplements are a merky subject and I think whey protien isolate, it’s pure protien and low carbs/fats, (concentrate has a bit more) should be your main source of supplements, eat the right food and you will get everything they give you and more. Don’t get any of that bsn crap. fish oil capsules are good
and creatin if you really want to but I don’t, maybe I’m missing a trick!
Another is always eat some source of craesin protien before bed so your body doesn’t get hungry whislt sleeping!

If you give more, you will get more. That is a universal truth in all and everything, you do! This is a war against laziness and excessive carefulness.

I’ve been a bit of a cheat and unfortunately haven’t been able to invest my money in any of your books yet due to the Xmas and new years madness buy will be as soon as possible.
I have read all your emails, viewed alot of the routines on YouTube and especially liked the vids by Lee on anabolic cooking (videos a bit dated but defintaley great tips).
I’m 27, 5″9 and in American terms 161 pounds, been going gym for 6 months now and saw some gains, put on a stone in weight and of course the amount of weights I pushed went up but I wasn’t really seeing much results (definition , shape) until I found you guys just before Xmas. I made the same mistakes listening to the already big guys, the steroid freaks and even paid for personal traning which was a waste of money. My diet wasn’t right, I was using crappy bsn syntha 6 which is full of fat and never felt pumped.
Just from the information you guys have been sending me and what I could find about you on the internet, I have followed the 3000 calorie rule, monitored my protien, carb and fat intake an worked out hard but no overtraining, 45 mintues of pure hormone releases!!
In the 10 days of this eating and training routine I have put on 3 pounds but have stayed big and hard and I’m getting bigger!! I feel in a word, anabolic! Pumped all the time and never deflating, lots of energy for the working day an feel like finally something is working and this all from just the free emails you guys send!!

I was one of the test subjects. Ok, so most of us, if not all of us, have been working out for quite some time – the key thing to note, however, is that we all had different goals and workout backgrounds. Some guys just competed in a show, others may have been cutting. Personally, I was just coming out of a 3 month bulking phase – so gaining an extra 7lbs of muscle was great for me (since everything else was starting to get ineffective due to me hitting a plateau).
Really, for those who seem skeptical, I would have you try it first before you’re critical, since you’re arguments do not have any foundation whatsoever: here are a bunch of buys claiming it worked. Even if there aren’t any ‘before’ pics, for those of you claiming it doesn’t work – you guys don’t seems to have any evidence either, claiming that it’s a scam. Try it out. I mean, really, what do you guys have to lose?

Honestly, I’m not convinced. We know from the previous e-mails that these guys probably all sent in before pictures, but they are suspiciously absent. There’s also silly claims (e.g. went from 220 lbs in barbell shrugs to 405.)
Im not sure on the science behind this but it seems that the gains are probably more than anything glucose being stored in the depleted muscles. thats were the “lean gains” phrase works. I also agree that there should be before pictures. just looks like some ripped as bodybuilders.
Hey guy so we get a chance to look at these tomorrow? I woud love a chance to get to a higher level. I started last year and cut from 186pds at 26,7%BF down to 162pds and 14.2%bf. The thing is I feel I’m a little to small now. I would love to add some size to my arms most of all. However I would still like to cut a little more to see those abs I know I have down there. Right now I can only see the top 2. So get this out already!!! LoL

My husband is 6’0″ and 157lbs, his body fat is about 10%. He really struggles to gain weight but after listening to what he said he ate today I don’t wonder why. (it’s only about 1800-2000 calories)
Is this program for anyone of reasonable fitness even if they’re coming from a weight deficit and has a challenging metabolism?

Impressive results and worth a look at. How does one qualify to be a test subject? I am a 63 year old hardgainer just holding my own. I am finishing Maximize Your Muscle and have enjoyed the last year on it. Body fat down near 7% and gaining mass slowly.

Obviously our test group has varying levels of experience, from novices to experienced bodybuilders. But the important thing is that they all made solid improvements in just 21 days. None of these guys seen any “before” and “after” pics before they started. They trusted us and followed the program. Simple as that.
Rather then putting down the achievements of others, why not step up and try the program for yourself when it comes out. That way you can prove to yourself whether it works or not based on your own results.

My advice is spend less time being skeptical and start directing that energy and focus into DOING something and trying the program before judging.

a few of these guys don’t even have impressive bodies… But furthermore we can’t even see proof of their progress… What are we just supposed to take your word for it? HAHA!
This looks like more marketing hype to me trying to get everyone to open their wallets… I’m not buying into it.
I agree with some of the guys here that before photos should be taken for comparison.
Either way, it is no doubt that an approach such as this will be able to keep bodyfat levels low and lean gains coming. The only thing which I am curious about is the rate they are putting on muscle mass (which are like 5-10+ lbs in 21 days).
Of course if they are coming out of a competition then they will be able to gain a lot of weight because they are probably dehydrated etc after the competition and probably be at their lowest weight. For the rest, it could be that they have never done such a cycle before.
I don’t doubt that this is a great program which I am looking forward to try to bust through my size plateau. Only thing I am wondering is that whether I will be able to get such gains like everyone else did. Either way, I am sure that everyone doing it will not keep gaining lean mass forever or they will become ultra huge in a year or so.
However, I will only know after I try it myself so I am looking forward to 11th January when it will finally be released. Hope I won’t be disappointed after trying it myself.

most of the results seem legit, but i’m not ruling out the fact that there may have been some steroids involved in some cases, but i definitely can’t wait to try the program out for myself.

Sounds interestng. I have a question and I wanted to ask it early.
In the past, packages have been sold with content that was adequate, but they required a password to look at the program every single time the buyer opened it up.
I don’t care if your new offering has the secret location of the Holy Grail, I will not knowingly buy a program that requires a password EVERYTIME I want to use it/open it.
