Thank you very much for your thorough advice and good example, Bruce.
I gave my vote to you in the last time you competed. Not enough other voters saw your nice further development. Perhaps you might change your photographer and practice your "posing", too? I have the same problem, with my wife taking a lot of photos, which seem never to give out my best points! When I try to pose in front of any large mirror, I seem to look a lot different (better) than in the photos... My wife admits that as a fact!

Please, continue training and flexing your muscles in front of the mirror, especially that new 6-pack of yours. Visiting Helsinki, Finland a few years ago, I saw a bodybuilder stretching his abdominal muscles ( sixpack ) for many minutes. Why? I figured it out only this last year (2010) trying to do it myself. It probably is the best thing you will ever do to get your sixpack out to really be visible. Perhaps it is the only way? If one wants to have good looking muscles, he must control them with and WITHOUT any added resistance! That may be the reason, why the other biceps usually looks bigger and more defined than the other one. When asked, one without thought flexes only one biceps, always the same one! How many times that will happen? VERY often! I have been testing this by giving more work to my left arm lately, and simsalabim, it is catching the right arm little by little! Now, if someone asks me to show my biceps, I will show only the left one! It is still a little lower than the other one, but they dont know it...

Best Regards from Aimo(74), from Spain.

P.S. I forgot to tell you, that I placed on the second place last autumn in the MYM competition.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('18341','aimo','Thank you very much for your thorough advice and good example, Bruce.\r\nI gave my vote to you in the last time you competed.
I like what Brice has done but I was kinda thinking the same thing Mac. It also looks, to me, as if he's slouching some, instead of standing up straight. I don't wish for that to sound negative but with my 20 something years background in the social dance scene, being taught and doing some instructing, I've learned that posture is of primary import and what helps make us look, not only better, but taller and more defined. At my age, which is also 63, I think my abs look better. I'm about 180-185 at 6ft. I haven't weighed myself in I don't know how many months. I've not been doing all that Bruce has because of income but I have been watching and minicing as much as possible Vinces videos and Vince related videos as well TacFit videos. I don't go to the gym because of cost, I do what do at home from the videos I watch and my over the door stretch cords. And I'm as defined as I've ever been, I dare say, for the past 30 years. Please don't think I mean that with any vanity, I don't. I do think Bruce looks great, just not defined as I would define defined. LOL. Sorry, this post is longer and contains more than I'd first planned.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('14166','Michael','I like what Brice has done but I was kinda thinking the same thing Mac.
Bruce:

Awesome story, and what an inspiration you are!! Really glad to read about you now, as I could really use a little inspiration. Also, I could really relate to all you wrote, as I, too, am over 50, and have also had heart valvular surgery. Thanks so much for sharing! Stay strong...
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('14161','Kerry','Bruce:\n\nAwesome story, and what an inspiration you are!!
very cool mate...your foundation looked pretty strong to start off with - and the gains you made are very impressive and inspirational - thanks for sharing!

Like you, I didn't have a lot of BB training under my belt when I took on the MYM program ( about a year where I saw some gains in terms of weight loss of fat and building of muscle but not where I wanted to be...) - into Phase 3 now....and really starting to notice differences in how I feel, look and what I can do in the gym.

Cheers mate...
Reply - Quote
