Gained 17 Pounds Of Muscle and Lost 4 Pounds Of Fat

“I learned about Vince through a recommendation from another fitness guru. Thinking that his claims about huge gains sounded crazy I subscribed to his newsletter and after reading his informative newsletters for a while I decided that this was the programme for me.
I wanted to see if Vince’s claims were actually true and if I was able achieve these amazing results. The challenge seemed like the right motivation for me to get started.
The transformation was a lot of hard work! But Vince’s motivational, informative and no nonsense style made it very simple and a lot easier to transform my body. With all the information easily accessible and instructions on how to do everything from when and what to eat to when and what to do physically all that was left for me to do was to JUST DO IT. And that I did with the support and help from Vince and the wonderful people on the online forum.
I started my transformation at:
Weight: 68.7 kg
Body Fat: 13%
Chest: 91 cm
Shoulders: 106 cm
Bicep: 32 cm
Thigh: 51 cm
After about one year now I’m:
Weight: 82 kg
Body Fat: 6.6%
Chest: 101 cm
Shoulders: 122 cm
Bicep: 36 cm
Thigh: 58 cm
Now that I’ve transformed my body completely I feel a lot better, look a lot better, get more respect from men and more attention from girls. But that’s just the icing of the cake. Throughout this transformation I’ve learned so much about myself as a person and developed into a better person. The challenge taught me to be more confident, disciplined, to believe in what I do, and made me into a much happier and fun person. This didn’t just change my body, it changed my lifestyle and my person for the better! Thank you Vince.”
Vince: How old are you and where are you from?
Christian: I’m 16 years old and I’m from Copenhagen, Denmark
Vince: What is like having six pack abs at your age?
Christian: It’s a weird thing! You have to be careful not to show off too much because there are a lot of haters out there. But it’s definitely a good thing, I once heard that you can measure your amount of success from the amount of haters you have ;) Overall it’s nice though. You get lots of attention when taking off your shirt and I often catch people “accidentally” staring at me.
Vince: What was the biggest challenge during your transformation?
Christian: My biggest challenge during my transformation was to resist temptation from my friends to indulge in unhealthy food and activities. It was especially hard to resist peer pressure and social habits of partying etc.
Vince: How did you keep yourself motivated?
Christian: I made sure to track my progress and tried to be surrounded by guys who were also interested in getting big. When I lack motivation to go train or to eat right I watch the promotional video for Vince’s YSPQ programme because it really gets me pumped. I also made sure to announce my goal to everyone that would listen to me to make sure I could held accountable.
Vince: What were the top 3 foods you would avoid at all costs to get ripped abs?
Christian:
1) Alcohol
2) Soft drinks (Both sugary and diet versions)
3) White bread

Vince: Did you drink any alcohol throughout your transformation?
Christian: Yes. It’s the social norm in Denmark to drink LOTS. But I limited my consumption considerably! I made sure to only drink on rare occasions and then enjoy drinking on those occasions.
Vince: What is the the number one mistake teenagers make when trying to get abs?
Christian: Practically all guys I know my age say they want six pack abs and then they go buy a pizza and a coke and go drinking late that night. By that I mean; they don’t at all commit to their goals and they don’t know what it takes to get there either. On the other hand I also know guys who’ll be in the gym for hours on in doing 100’s of crunches and not giving their body any time to recover.
So I would say that their number one mistake is; not being informed about what they have to do to get there.
Vince: What kind of attention have you been getting from the ladies? Meet anyone special?C
Christian: Well this is kind of a touchy subject so I will pick my words carefully. I’ve definitely been getting more attention to say the least, and lots of girls have started approaching me, smiling at me, touching me, sending me looks. It’s a weird feeling! But it feels good, and it’s worth the pain you go through in the gym. I have met a lot of special girls, I mean everyone’s special; you just have to look for it. But now that I’ve got a lot more choice I’m just enjoying life, waiting to see what comes my way before I pick someone. I’m still young so I’m not in any hurry.
Vince: How are your buddies treating you differently now?
Like I said before; there are a lot of haters but it shows you who are your true friends and who aren’t. I definitely get a lot more respect from my friends and they ask me lots of questions about how to work out and eat right etc. Still a lot of them don’t understand why I take my training so seriously and they’ll often nag me about not going out late at night but I think they respect me for it on some level.
Vince: How are you using your new confidence in other areas of your life?
Christian: In all social areas; to gain new friends, meet girls, professional relations etc. But the main place is actually school. It has given me the confidence to set extremely high goals and often achieve them. So while transforming my body I also transformed my grade report completely. It’s incredible to know that you can come up with a goal and achieve it, and you don’t need six pack abs to do that, you just need to be confident about it!
Vince: What does the future look like for Christian?
Christian: I’m going to continue to work out and eat right. My goal is to weigh just over 90 kg before I graduate from high school (in 2 years). I also want to learn about metabolic typing since I think it makes a lot of sense and has a lot of health benefits. After high school I want to get a scholarship to study business abroad and as soon as I graduate from university I’ll move to Australia to surf and enjoy the sun.
END OF INTERVIEW
Pretty impressive eh? Now it’s your turn to congratulate Christian and ask him some questions and I’ll get him to help you out. Post your comments, congrats and questions below.

July 1, 2010
Hi Christian,
Congratulations on your fantastic transformation. You really inspire me, a guy 3 years your senior! I must say that you really have admirable resolve and determination. Your reaults are nothing short of fantastic. I wanted to ask, how’s your actiity level like, outside of doing Vince’s workouts? How many calories do you eat and do you do any cardio?
July 1, 2010
awesome stuff bro. totally inspirational
July 1, 2010
Hi Christian, I'm at the other end of the age spectrum–62–working on getting more fit, so far have gone (over a longer period) from 26% body fat to 16%. My target is 10%. It's great to see people of all ages doing this. – best regards, Jurgen Wolff

Outstanding work Christian! Keep up the good work mate!
Good luck getting to Australia and following your dreams. Not much sun down here lately though :)
Well done Vince for providing such 'no nonsense' muscle building information that obviously works!
This post is a tribute to you both!

awesome results Christian, very inspirational, keep up the good work
July 1, 2010
Great work Christian!
hi Vince – this is a great feature – would be even better if the person's height is included in the stats, so people can relate the other stats (weight etc) to a certain height.
July 1, 2010
Tillykke – godt gået
Congratz on a job well done m8
July 1, 2010
Congratulations Christian way to go man… really motivating… lifestyle and peer pressure are two things i have been trying to handle for a while… but ur story is truly motivating shall keep ur advice on discipline and respect….. two very important things that go hand in hand…
July 1, 2010
Congratz Christian! Keep it up
July 1, 2010
That is very impressive and very inspiring. Especially at his age. It's great that this happened over the course of a year as well. It means his body adapted normally and he didn't do anything extreme. I hate it when people claim to have achieved transformations even more impressive than this in something like 8 weeks and then claim it was all natural. Great job Christian!
July 1, 2010
Christian, great job!
What was your diet like?
I'm from Europe like you and here it's a lot harder to find the right foods to get lean and big because we don't have the variety USA has. I mean there are very few low fat products, almost no no-sugar products, not much lean meat, almost no variety and huge prices in protein powders, very few variety in whole grains, breads and such. What you ate?
July 1, 2010
Good on you boy. Come to New Zealand in two years – you will find it is the best place in the world – I did.
July 1, 2010
Christian, this article is awesome. Hive five to you for finding the strength and inner you to do what you have accomplished. Your story and pictures are a true life changer. My youngest son just turned 13 yesterday, he does his exercises plays football and I know he is going to enjoy this article when I show it to him… Keep up the good work… Nelson from Bronx NY.

my god!
i wish I had a body like that when i was 16. I wish i had it right now, im 18 now and still dont look like that!
Amazing to see how something like this can teach you so much about yourself and the mistakes you make.
Going to cut the alcohol and the overtraining of my muscles from now on.
Thanks Christian!
July 1, 2010
Christian….nice job little buddy…I’m proud of you. You are making great lifestyle choices at such a young age…keep it up. Tom

Chris

July 1, 2010
can i ask why you avoided white bread?
as of recent ive screwed that rule completely…
July 1, 2010
@Michael H –
Now this is what im talking about everyday im thinking about buying vinces fitness products..even if im already making gains by myself i know once i get it i will be able to get even more
July 1, 2010
Congratulations Christian! You've done an amazing job! I know what it's like when your friends, and even family for me, don't understand why i choose not to go to the movies late at night and instead get to bed early, the foods i eat, etc. Great job at staying commited, i should just show my family you so they can get another perspective haha.
You have a great ideal towards girls too. You're young and you don't need to rush, no need to pick the first one to come your way, the right one will come =)
July 1, 2010
Congrats mate, excellent results
July 1, 2010
just amazing man congratulatons and keep you in the same way
July 1, 2010
I'd have to disagree with you. During the ages of 13-24 or so, it is extremely easy to make gains if you are using all the right techniques, such as the stuff Vince tteaches. I'll prove my point by being one of the tranformed guys up here. Just wait! :)
July 1, 2010
Hey, congratulations!! :D keep it up like that
July 1, 2010
Naww man, you can get results like that too. It takes discipline, motivation, the right diet, progress in the weight you lift and recovery. That's what most of it boils down to. You should get Vince's NNMB program. I have been using it and it is really GREAT!
July 1, 2010
Yeah, man. Vince posted on his blog a few months back giving a great diet to stick to and it helped me to gain 5 pounds of muscle in like a month or less.
http://www.vincedelmontefitness.com/blog/3069/mus...
Vince has a great program if you are still considering buying it and right now he has a $1 try-it-now deal. His stuff helped me to get from a 150lbs squat for 10 reps to 200lbs for 10+ reps. I'm also deadlifting 225lbs for 6 reps. I'm still not ready to be up on his page yet.
July 1, 2010
Congratulations Christian!!! Very nice gains!! What are your stats for the Bench, Squat, and deadlift? Keep up the good work and stay motivated! Motivation is (in my opinion) the key to success.
July 2, 2010
Congrats to you Christian! You have a really bright future ahead of you and it's so inspirational to spread your advice to the forum and your friends! It's so perfect, because you are 16 and already have an amazing body! Keep up the good work and I wish you the very best in your success and acheivements! Keep impressing the ladies! I learned quite a bit from your transformation as I read it today. Very Awesome!
July 2, 2010
Hey man it's me Mrspy, dude i wanna say again awesome results! You've inspired me to keep on going with the program. :D
July 2, 2010
Nice job. I'm also 16 and looking forward to my results after a year. Seeing this really helps me stay motivated.
July 2, 2010
attitude like that is depressing. it all starts with the mind first before anything. if you're gonna think like that before you even lift or start a diet, you've failed before you even started anything else. not just bodybuilding but in life as well.
July 2, 2010
Question Christian, how're the girls in Denmark? Yes I do intend to visit there soon ;)
good job on the transformation, train hard and train smart, and eat well. cheers
July 2, 2010
Dude, its nice to have someone else in my age group that cares about his body..as gay as that may sound, i think you and i both agree that it's definitely worth it. I have the same issues that you have with friends wanting to go out and party or just hang out but every time we do, there's always a 'lifestyle' choice that you make. For example, just tonight i could have stayed home and finished eating my healthy dinner and gone to bed a couple hours later to let the food digest and so on–all good. INSTEAD, i decided to hang with my friends, went to someone's house, and guess what, ate a burger while i was there..complete with lovely white bread and sugar-packed ketchup. Only healthy thing on that thing was the mustard lol. Consumed at an earlier time it wouldnt have been too bad but eh, so i totally get what you mean by the peer pressure thing. It does kinda feel good tho when you have people coming to you for advice though, or giving you more attention..basically all the benefits you mentioned. I guess all this to say, congrats on your transformation, and good luck with your goals and fitness. Its definitely hard, but completely worth it.
July 2, 2010
Sorry not that impressed about the six pack at age 16, many would wonder why I say that and if I was any better at that age. Yes at abs only, it was to bad I didnt think it was anything special to have and 8pack at the age of 13 not kidding from age 13-15 I had 8 pack abs. Many that I know and prob people here think thats impossible because 6pack is so hard to get, no not really. but at the age of 16 my back injuries was starting to come because to extreme ab training so my lower spine about 3-4 dont know the name so I call it 3-4as bec spine bones home more straight which puts pressure on my nervs. Thats why I would never recommend some1 try to get 8 pack, but 6 pack is easy if you do right. And its kinda bs with all that what you eat, not at that age. My training was this. Fotball/soccer 2-3 times a week great fat burner, started my ab training at the age of 12, trained 6 times a week, so after 6 months I did 500 sit-ups aday and other ab workouts some that is really good but if you go past a point its devestating for the body which I have felt now over 12years later. (age 24) my dumb misstake. And i was a kinda candy lover so lots of sweets which should be bad but no problem for me with my extreme calorie buring stomach, but i ate around 5-8 times day, NOT split portions full ones.
Well still nice job on the kid to make some abs with out the extreme training. That wasnt around my age of time. Not even the internet :/
July 2, 2010
Thank you very much :) I'm about 186 cm
July 2, 2010
hehe thank you very much! I don't know it's not my goal but I never know where life will take me ;D
July 2, 2010
FINALLY I have found a role model, Christian you are absolutely DEDICATED to your stuff. I am trying to look good too (and have done quite well so far) and I have been at it for 2 years, I don't look as ripped as you do though! I must up my game now, where'd I put my motivation….
July 2, 2010
I mostly followed the meal plans that came with NNMB. But what you're saying is just bad excuses, without trying to offend you.
We are BLESSED to be living in Europe because North America is stuffed with shitty "food" (if you can even call it that).
Low fat is not necessarily good. In fact most of the time it's stuffed with neuro-toxins such as MSG and aspartame to make it taste good without the fat.
The same goes for no-sugar or diet products. They're stuffed with chemicals which are incredibly harmful to you.
In Denmark we have plenty of lean meat and I haven't been to a European country where they don't.
I suggest you go on the internet to find some protein powders. I've found a great Danish website that has everything you can wish for.
If you can't find the bread you want, then bake your own.
Eat good natural foods, keep training and don't come up with excuses and I'm 100% sure you'll reach your goals! :D
July 2, 2010
thank you very much! It means a lot to me that I can inspire other people :D
July 2, 2010
Hi Clement
Thank you very much for the kind words :D
My activity level is very dependent on seasons and weather since I love to surf and do other weather dependant sports. But along with my weight training I do kickboxing (1 hour and 15 min.) between 2 and 3 times per week. I don't do any other sort of cardio.
I've been eating 4000 calories a day and I recently increased it to 5000
July 2, 2010
Thank you :)
I would say both yes and no. Because sometimes I'm an absolute fanatic about what I eat and I'll not touch anything that's not 100% right for what I want, so I always cook my own food. But when I let loose I really let loose and enjoy myself.
July 2, 2010
Thank you very much :)
I love Oz! I've lived in Sydney for 2 years. I've never been to NZ but my love for Sydney will overpower anything (I think ;) )
July 2, 2010
What Michael and AG7 said is completely true! If you're stressing over not looking the way you want to look or any deficiency then that's very harmful to your body and mind! You need to love yourself for what you are but know that you can change and if you want to change; take action :D
July 2, 2010
Hi Chris
Thank you very much! It means a lot to me :D
July 2, 2010
white bread comes from refined flour which is not just detrimental to your physique but also your overall health. A lot of factors come into play but I suggest you research it :)
July 2, 2010
Thanks :D
You should do that! Of course it's important to be social but we need to remember that at the end of the day we're the ones who have to live with the consequences of our choices (positive or negative) and if people don't respect that then that's their problem. I've also experienced that the less you care about their opinion the more they'll start to respect you for it.
July 2, 2010
Hi Tom
Thank you very much! It really means a lot to me :D
July 2, 2010
Thanks :)
I don't really get caught up in how much weight I lift. I didn't get into this to tell girls how much I benched the other day. But I'm pretty sure (this is just off the top of my head) that I bench 75 kg. through the giant sets (three chest exercises). I haven't squatted in a long time so I don't know. I dead lift around 90 kg, also in giant sets.
July 2, 2010
Hey Chris
Thanks for the nice comment, I really appreciate it :D
July 2, 2010
Thanks bro! With you dedication you'll definitely REACH your goal! Just remember that you're doing this for you and that other people's opinions don't matter at the end of the day :D
July 2, 2010
Thanks :D
We have the prettiest girls in the world! No shit! They're very hot, but if you're visiting Denmark for the girls then you should also go to Sweden (20 min. train ride) since they have just as beautiful girls.
July 2, 2010
Hey Alex
First of all thanks for the nice comment :)
Secondly: If you cheat, fall of the wagon or don't make the perfect choice: DON'T SWEAT IT! You're body IS a temple but you have to enjoy they ride and that includes indulging in unhealthy things once in a while and enjoying it! Like I mentioned to one of the other guys here; worrying about what you're doing wrong etc. isn't good for you! In fact it'll hinder your progress. So if you decide to hang out with your friends and have a burger then enjoy it and live in the moment.
I don't drink that often any more but when I do I have so much fun with my friends and we remember those nights for a long time! my point is that you can cheat once in a while but you have to feel good about it because if you don't then it kind of defeats the purpose of cheating in the first place ;)
July 2, 2010
I'm very happy I inspire you :D You sound like you're dedicated too, I'm sure you'll succeed. If you find your motivation ;D
July 3, 2010
Hey Christian, I'm happy that you were able to achieve such awesome results. I think it would be a waste not to get in shape when you're young, because you're only young once. To be out of shape during the best time of your life is just selling yourself short. I started a lot later than you, I'm 19 now and just started working out a few months ago, but I'm already feeling great, my morale is high, I have more energy for things I like to do, and its only gonna get better, for you and me both. Keep at it man, nobody can stop you but yourself. I had a question though, you mentioned what not to eat, but what are a few of your go-to meals? I'm cooking for myself this year and I wanna know what I should learn how to make before I go back to living on my own again. Thanks for the inspiration
July 3, 2010
It's great to see another teenage fitness enthusiast like me(i'm 16),I started a long time ago cause of martial arts, but the problem is that I allways had that fat that hide my abs.I'm way smaller then you(178cm or 5'10)and weight in the 78kg,but the common thing we got is that we learned a lot of desciplined and sacrifice.I hope you keep on going,I know I will cause I plan on joining the special forces.Maybe I can post my transformation pic to Vince?!
Your comrade Gabriel
Good luck to every one.
July 3, 2010
Hey Liam
Good to hear that you're into it! Hmm it's hard to come up with any go-to meal. I would say that you should learn to cook chicken breast in different ways because it can get boring to eat after a while. I usually either bake it (stuff it in a pan, add some spices and a bit of water), cook it on a pan or grill it on a proper grill. I love to make salads with chicken breast because it's fast, easy, tasty and very refreshing. With salads you can eat WAY more than with other kinds of food. I also like to use whole grain burritos.
July 3, 2010
Hey Gabriel. That sound really cool! Since you do MA you should have some great HIIT to burn that fat but if it's not working then try to cut back on the carbs and perhaps increase your intake of healthy fats.
July 3, 2010
Chris I'm so proud of you. You make any sister proud! Though I don't always say it you really are an inspiration for me.
July 3, 2010
Thanks Laura, that means a lot to me :D
July 3, 2010
Your right Christian im not gonna let Low Testosterone beat im gonna doing everything i can to get back to normal levels and hopefully change for the better and focus on the right nutrition as well to help promote higher testosterone
July 3, 2010
WOW! This is a huge transformation! Nice going Christian. Keep it up because when you get older, it will serve you well. ;-)
July 4, 2010
well done christian uve done brilliant think ur abs look awsome shows what u can do with the right advice and right mindset good luck with all ur future plans and gains im sure u will achive them.im currently just started upside down training in nononesense muscle building but hav also got the sixpack quest, really wana get my abs like urs but wana get as big an strong as i can as well, cud u tell me please which programs u followed and which meal plans thanku
July 4, 2010
I followed NNMB with the 4000 calorie meal plan but I recently increased it to 5000. But I will take it down again since I won't be working out as much in the holidays. I think you should try out different things and see what works for you. If you can build muscle and maintain your six pack on a specific meal plan then use that :)
July 5, 2010
Nice work, Christian! Keep focused and be persistent!
July 6, 2010
Congrats on the hard work. It is amazing on what one individual can do when they put their mind to it. Can you give some advice to someone who is lacking motivation to get back into the gym and how to achieve the goals that one has set?
July 6, 2010
Thanks :)
If you're completely lacking motivation then I think you need to review why you're doing this, what you want and why you want that etc. Because at the end of the day it needs to make sense to you in order for you to take the time and energy to do it. When you've done this you'll have the motivation because it makes sense to you and you'll make it a habit.
If you're lacking motivation occasionally then I recommend that you do what I do and find some videos that really motivate you (short ones) and some music that gets you pumped. Then when you don't feel like going to the gym you put the music on, watch a video and get into a state of mind where you want to work out.
July 7, 2010
wow that’s AMAZING!!! Jaw-dropping-cool transformation. Well done Christian. Now i’m going to get off my ass and work harder if you can do it

Well it sounds like your motivated which is great cause that just means that you need to tweak what you're doing to see some great results.
Have you actually tried NNMB?

Thanks :)
Yes I read it, followed the workouts and the meal plan but I changed the times of the meals to accommodate my day. I did have trouble fitting it all in my bag but if you rearrange your books, have a pretty big bag and package the food in a smart way you can fit it in there, trust me ;) If you can't do that then bring a plastic bag with the food and carry it in your hand. I mean this should be the least of your worries. I didn't follow the meal plan for breakfast, I occasionally had eggs and otherwise I had oatmeal with berries and almonds. I ate between 5 and 6 times a day.

I'm guessing you also have the actual workout. Then yes that's it, just do what it says.

It's not impossible lots of people have done it. If you can't get the ingredients, change them!

It doesn't sound like you're following the programme. Are you?
Dude I can hear that you're really upset that you can't put on any weight and I can also understand that you're determined to do whatever's needed physically. Now here's what you need to do: FORGET IT! Don't get caught up in negative and limiting beliefs! I dare you to come up with one example of those limiting beliefs getting you any closer to your goal.
That's right there are non! You need to get rid of it, stop feeling sorry that you have a hard time putting on weight and find a solution.
If that solution is following the programme to the letter, finding a personal dietician who can help you, eating 25000 calories a day (not that this is the solution)… you need to find that solution and use it!
You should read the ENTIRE book, follow the meal plan and the workouts and I bet you'll gain weight and muscle. If that doesn't work, and it'll take a while before you know, then find another solution that works.
I really hope this will help you :)

so christian, did u have any supplements??? if u did, which ones???
July 12, 2010
I took the basic necessities you need in a modern society (because our food quality isn't what it used to be): A multivitamin and fish oil.
On top of that I had some creatine at the very end of my transformation (when my diet was near perfect). I of course also had protein powder, but I wouldn't call that a supplement. I tried to eat as naturally as possible.
