Tacfit Challenge with Vince Del Monte

Watch The Recruit Workout I’m Using To Work Up To The Full TACFIT Commando Workout:

Summary of Video:

It’s 15-days before I m getting married!

A lot of friends and family have asked Flavia and I: “Are you two going to workout during your honeymoon?”

Believe it or not, we were actually going to take a complete month off – but just recently decided against that.

You can find out why in the video above.

Our plan is to be dominating, crushing and killing the TACFIT Commando Challenge while on our Honeymoon and we’re using the Recruit version of the workout to get us ready.

Here’s our dilemma:

1. One month away from working out will hurt your gains and Flavia and I are apart of Joel Marion’s wedding 2-weeks after we retun so we want to look good for his wedding too.

2. We’re going to be blowing our diets for the entire month and indulging all of our senses (Hey, it is our Honeymoon) for the entire month and I anticipate I’ll be eating a lot of bread, drinking lots of wine and having lots of ice cream and chocolate.  And that’s just for breakfast 🙂

3. I’m not taking ANY supplements with me – no multis, protein powder or fish oils.  Nothing.

4. Our honeymoon destination equals NO GYMS! And even if there were, we’ll probably walk right pass them.

Our Big Problem:

We’re going to pack on some chub if we don’t do some sort of exercise beyond the typical “honeymoon style exercise” and despite all the walking we’ll be doing. We trained our butts off for June 26th and we don’t want to come back like tub-a-yards on July 27th.

Our Solution:

Flav and I want a bodyweight workout that we can use to stay fit on our honeymoon that will not take longer than 20-minutes a day and only 3 times per week. The focus of our honeymoon is not working out and neither of us of taken an extended break from training so working out is not our focus.

We do want to stimulate our metabolisms, burn some calories and hit our muscles so we can enjoy all the food though.  And since we’re only training 3 times a week, we want a program that acts fast and hits us hard.

I have tried every bodyweight program under the sun except TACFIT Commando.  This is the stuff Navy Seals, Marines and Real-Life Secret Agents are using right now to chisel rock hard bodies and maintain mission readiness – anywhere, anytime, with absolutely no equipment.

And use the Recruit Workokut, provided in the video above if the Israeli Special Forces TACFIT Challenge Workout is too difficult for you.  It was too hard for me, which is why I provided the Recruit version today.

Do you think you can man up to this kind of challenge?

If so, I’m going to put you to the test. And reward you for your valour.

Film your performance of the workout and post it to YouTube. Make sure you title the video “TACFIT Commando Vince Del Monte Challenge.” I’ll be watching all the videos with my buddy Adam Steer from the TACFIT team.

We’ll be picking winners based on the numbers you put up and the correct form on the exercises. To win, you have to post your video by the end of the day on Tuesday.

And here’s what the winners get:

Top Dog – 1 year of Maximize Your Muscle ($839.40 Value)

Second In Command – Free TACFIT Commando program ($197 Value)

Also, anyone who can do all 20 rounds of the Challenge at the highest level gets a ticket to attend a teleconference with me and Scott Sonnon, founder of the TACFIT system and trainer to spies and spec ops soldiers around the globe! This won’t be until after my wedding though, so you’ll have to be patient…

Look forward to seeing your videos. Make sure you email me with the link so I can view them too.

Vince

P.S. Again, don’t forget, if the Israeli Challenge is too tough, do the Recruit Challenge you can find in the video up top.

  8. Hey Vince,
I tried the intermediate level of the Israeli Special Forces TACFIT Challenge Workout today and I could only do it for 14 minutes.
After that, I dropped on the floor and just lay there to recover 😉
    Man this workout is hard.

  9. Hi Vince

Just love these challenges. A message to GC hi there don't let your age get in the way of your goals I'm 66 years of age to me that's just a number. And I believe that I'm just as fit and strong as a lot of younger guys out there. July the 18th I'm entering the New Zealand Bay of Plenty Masters BodyBuilding Championships using Vince's programs are fantastic and I've never felt so good and even look better than I did this time last year. So come on GC age is nothing if we want to accomplish Goals in our lives.

    Thanks Vince
P.S By the way is your Dad marrying you Guys. I'll be marrying my son and his fiance in November this year. All the best for your future. I've been married to the same lovely lady for 42 years.
    God Bless. Sonny Brady

  11. You are going to do this before and after your workouts?

Will that not make your workouts superlong?

This stuff does look like the perfect thing to keep me in shape while on my holiday thanks Vinny.

  12. @GC : Where do you get that idea? He can lift his own weight and he isn't like a 60 year-old, he's young and fit. It's just a difference in training protocol – both traditional bodybuilding and this more functional type of working out are effective, but focusing only on traditional bodybuilding will make stuff like this more difficult if you've never done it before. It's always difficult jumping into something difficult that you've never attempted before in your life.

Personally, I'm picking this up too – it's FREE so why not? But I still keep using Vince's programs and will just incorporate this on the side. It's not like it's a long, drawn out program, no reason to use it exclusively. Nice job Vince at attempting this and good luck over your honeymoon at doing the full thing. Congrats on your wedding and God bless.

    • Another reason I filmed this workout, even though I didn't look super impressive doing it, was because I will re film it in another few weeks to watch the difference.

Video taping me doing it as a complete beginner is good motivation to improve. Kind've like taking a 'before picture."

I'm not one of the those fitness professional who presents themselves on a pedestal and portrays perfection.

I portray progressive progress, not perfection. I'm seeking out PROGRESSIVE PROGRESS in all areas of fitness – even new areas I have not explored.

      We're doing this together right?

  13. Hello… I feel sad, and I’m starting to re consider not buying your stuff. C’mon, why should I buy it if I see that your training will leave me as a 60 years old that can not lift my own weight? Sad sad sad

  14. Vince,

Downloaded the TacFit Challenge yesterday! Man it is pretty hard.

'm definitely going to be incorporating this type of training into my combat conditioning drills. I'm not a fighter, but love to train like one and my dad used to be special ops in the Air Force: Combat Control Team. So I really like the idea of training in this manner. The Springing Tripod is my favorite so far. I call it the Matrix move! haha

I'm going to combine these drills with some stuff I learned in Aikido. I'm not sure on the spinal rack drop exercise though. Seems like it puts your lumbar spine in flexion… but there is an Aikido move that I may replace that with that is somewhat similar without the flexion. What are your thoughts on that safety/validity of that exercise?

    • I have only tried the Basic Spinal Rack, I have not done the spinal rack drop…. Scott has great mobility and flexibility so he makes the move look easy and effortless.

I'm assuming others, with tight hips, hams and low back, will experience a tough time doing this.

Modify if you don't feel comfortable doing it.

  15. Vince, I'm so glad you posted this!

I'm pretty new to fitness, but I'm trying hard, and learning a lot from you and some of your compatriots Joel Marion, Craig Ballantyne, and the guys who created this system Scott Sonnon and Adam Steer. I have to admit, when I tried this workout, I found myself crying with frustration because I just couldn't do some of the moves. Now that I see that even YOU have some trouble with it, I feel much better! I'm going to keep working at it, thanks for the inspiration, and for your honesty.

    Best, Tanya

      • Vince,
if we video tape 5 minutes,
it would barely get us through the curcuit of 5.
Do you mean we had to do 20 cuircuits in 5 minutes?????

  17. I already picked up the program, it's cool stuff to try out. I didn't have any problems with any of the exercises, I'm pretty used to my body weight so everything kind of felt pretty good to go through. Probably because when I started to do fitness I did it all at home for 8 months, doing mostly bodyweight stuff.
Kind of funny to see Vinnie, the guy that talks about 12 metabolic targets and with time he forgets about a few, do this simple bodyweight circle. Go go Vin!

    • Hey Sinisa… my metabolic circuits are with traditional bodybuilding exercises, not with functional tacfit commando style exercises. A lot of these movements, I'll admit, are completely BRAND NEW.

That's another reason I'll probably respond well to the training as will others who have not tried it too.

  18. Vince,

I’m looking forward to it!! So will each video be 20 minutes long then?! That would take a long time to watch! If you had 2,000 for instance, that would take 666 hours to watch! That means you would have to stay up for 28 days straight just watching every single video! In other words, what’s our limit of video time? So anyway, does it matter which level we choose whether it be beginner, intermediate or hard in order to win first or second place?
I’m sure I have more questions. I can’t think of anymore right now though. 🙂
    thanks!
