Hollywood Hotel Muscle Building Workout Plan (Part 2 of 2)

By Vince On December 19, 2009 Under Featured Post, Muscle Building Secrets

It’s 1:42 am Saturday and I tried to get this out Friday am but it would have resulted in missing my plane from LA back to Canada.  Today is part 2 of the Hollywood Muscle Building Workout Plan. In the video I shared some VERY interesting things I saw and people I met while in Hollywood.

You’ll probably find my stories more entertaining than the workout information… ha

And if you can relate to any of my Hollywood experiences, PLEASE TELL in the blog comments section below:

In any case, check out the workout I did at my hotel this am before catching my flight back to Canada.  I incorporated some lower body conditioning exercises with some high-rep back and bi training to turn in a pretty stimulating workout.

Here’s the workout:

Hollywood Hotel Back/Legs/Bi’s High-Rep Workout

Squat/Rows with Cables 4 x 25 (100 lbs)

1 Arm Cable Speed Rows 2 x 25 (50 lbs)

Half-Burpees 2 x 25

DB Step Ups with DB’s (15 lbs) 2 x 50

DB Deadlifts (55 lbs) 2 x 25

Cable Horizontal Rows 2 x 25 (50 lbs)

Speed Bicep Cable Curls 2 x 25 (15 lbs)

And do you mind if I ask a quick favor?  It would be cool if you got into the habit of doing this whenever you feel like helping me out.  It’s pretty simple:

  1. After watching my YouTube video feel free to post a comment below.
  2. Double click the YouTube video and it’ll take you to the YouTube website.  If you enjoyed the video and want to help it’s popularity on YouTube then give it a nice high ranking, 5/5 would be perfect :) If you think it sucks, give it 1 star.  You won’t hurt my feeling.

Either way, I hope you enjoyed the workout and make sure to try it out next time you’re traveling.

Have a great weekend Christmas shopping if you have not done that yet.  I just finished mine!

Vince

P.S. I want you start thinking about what kind of fitness Christmas gift you’re going to give YOURSELF this year.

P.P.S. Another heads up, over the next two weeks I’m going to start a brand new series of posts called Maximize Your Muscle and how to Blow Beyond Your Genetic Potential!  Stay tuned.

Never knew that about the American’s Vince, always thought they were suppose to be gentlemen. They fool me again. Yours Sincerely.

Vince, I recently moved from the Bay area of California to Colorado. The truth of your experiences is unfortunate. People, in general but certainly not all, are more self centered and not at all polite. I lived in a beautiful neighborhood and tried as I might never got to know my next door neighbors. They seemed afraid to trust anyone. I am so much happier in Colorado. The people are more positive and friendly, even the energy of just being outside feels better, even when its 20 below zero. I miss my Cali friends dearly and I cherish them so because they went against the norm and are quality people. But yes, Cali, Hollywood especially is. . . . interesting.

Not America, California. So often I talked for travelers from other countries and ask them what they think of America. They reply that they went to California and had yet to actually see America. It is true, Cali is a whole other world@Richard -

Vince,

I did a stop over at LA on my way to New York last year and got a dose of what you are referring to. First dose was at the airport dealing with the stupidity of employees there at the control (leave alone the various ’security’ checks i had to go through). as for the city itself, you can find a mix of characters, from really wierd to really good people. both LA and NY are very different to the image they display in films and on tv.good luck with the job

Whatever you are doing there Vince, keep it real and stay down to earth like you are. We’d hate to see you “Hollywoodised” – being one of us is what makes your advice so easy to follow. Thanks for the insight.

Vince, I hope you were in Hollywood to talk to some execs to do a show called the Biggest Gainer!! I know that it has been your desire for a while to do this. I will be praying for you as you continue your journey. Thanks for all the good fitness info. God Bless.

Never been to California. I live in the rural midwest and its normal to hold a door for a woman, or another guy for that matter. Its just common courtesy. California is in a word of its own from what I can tell.

I havent been there but i have been to the East coast and truthfully felt like most of those folks werer awfully rude. Its just a totally differnt world.

Vince,

This is too funny…my hubby and I just moved back to Toronto 3 months ago after 10 years in LA, so we TOTALLY get it. Did you also notice that nobody seems to have a job? Coffee shops are PACKED all day long with M.A.W’s (model, actor, whatevers). And don’t be fooled by everyone who drives a Range Rover…none of them can even afford to buy groceries. Very sad. We miss the weather and all our friends, but that’s IT! Glad to be in T.O. :-)

Don’t worry guys, I have enough people in my life who would never let me forget who i really am and where I come from.

I DO love the energy there but if you’re not careful, you can lose your SOUL very fast living there especially.

Some really good guesses. Someone DID get it right… but it’s not official yet. I won’t say if the guess was posted yesterday or today though.

Hi Vince,
I lived for 5 years in California (originally from Canada). Hollywood is the epicenter of the “Tinsletown” lifestyle.
Orange county, just south of LA county, is much more normal and has decent, nice people (well, a few butt-wipes, too, but where aren’t they?)
Loved the video!

As far as the “gentleman” aspect of life – Thank you for explaining to the guys that if they behave that way or run with other guys that act that way then they are the ones that need to re-evaluate what is going on.

You get clerks like you are talking about and the BlackBerry Trio even in Helena Montana especially around the holidays. They drop clerks in to fill in the gaps without training. I feel so sorry for some of them.

And the BlackBerry Trio, well, your guess is as good as mine as to whether they were on their messenger service or just playing video games. Style and Show.

Keep up the good workouts – To thine own self be true.

@Vince

I think it is an urban thing Vince. I moved from the south (U.S.) to New York years ago and I had problems with girls who would open the door and get out before I could get around the car to open the door for them. One of them told me that it was a women’s rights thing; political correctness if you will. In my travels I have found Toronto to be more to my liking than most other places, you just have that horrible winter. But your people are like old south gentility, concerned and caring. Meanwhile, right up the highway in Montreal; oh, lets not get into that, we’ll be here all day.
Over the year or two I have been following you, you seem to have gotten more buff. I know you were winning contests before, but in my opinion, you look better now. I look better, too, thanks to you. I am not your target hardgainer, I am an antique that has badly deconditioned. But a lot of your techniques are working for me.

I’m now reminded of the time an older gentleman held a door open for a new female colleague. She said with an attitude, “You don’t have to open the door because I’m a woman.”
He replied quite calmly, “I didn’t open it because you’re a woman. I opened it because I’m a gentleman.”

You get arseholes everywhere. Just be true ot your own values and if they can’t handle it, tough on them.

It’s becoming the norm to have negative, rude people in almost every state. You will find that each geography has it’s own flavor.

The only thing you can do is stay true to your own values, goals, morals and keep looking straight ahead.

Never let someone else take you out of YOUR groove…NEVER!

Only in America!! or should I say Hollywood? As they say there’s no place like home. Real life can somtimes be stranger or funnier than fiction. I have heard about all all the plastic surgery.. Men getting pec implants!!!! It’s a great place ot visit I’m sure and make you appreciate your backyard even more.

hahah ‘I need to call my mananger!!’ love the stories Vince! I’ve always wanted to go to Hollywood and I still do, but after watching your last few videos I’ve got a fair taste of the experience.

I think you’re there to:
1. be featured in LA muscle
2. play the part of Vinnie Chase’s personal trainer on entourage
3. play a part on Family Guy
4. have your own TV show about building muscle and being healthy inside and out

Vince,

got a non Hollywood related question. If Im not the typical skinny guy, would you recommend eating more like the 6 week muscle building video you had on here rather than the HUGE amounts of food you recommend in NNMB? Im just curious. The calculatr puts me way above 500 cals over my maintenance and it isnt that hard for me to gain weight. Sorry to change the subject. I like the look of the program, just not sure I SHOULD eat that much.

Hi Vince, nice video I gave you 5 stars. I’d love one of those weight machines. My daughter visited Hollywood (from here in Australia) last year. She thought some of the people were very strange in looks, dress and character but she had a lot of laughs!

Jim beat me to it… it dawned on me yesterday but I was busy sledding and having some fun (got some snow here in NC, which doesn’t happen too often)

I agree with Jim… I think it is in regards to the Biggest Gainer Idea you were developing. Hope so, as that would be an awesome/interesting show to watch.

Interesting video about the peeps in LA. I’m sure that’s a different world for everybody. I’ve heard a few stories… Like your unique gym ideas.

Have a Merry Christmas Vinny D! Peace

Wow… that’s one of the better hotel gyms I’ve seen. I like the high-reps in this workout. Ensures maximum time under tension for a great burn.

Remember, not to say anybody I ran into was a loser but here is fact:

Losers attract losers. Winner attract winners. You decide who you attract.

The 3 way blackberry trio were 3 business friends speaking to each other and replying to email at the same time.

Hi I am in need of affordable sports machines we could utilize for our area. I believe the multi functional models are the most space-saving and practical equipment we need.

I love your video though your maybe conscious and felt uncomfortable because you always look on your sides and keep on moving like your dancing.. Lol… peace
