Thanks John, but it's not just one meal, one day that's higher...most of them are high. So if I chose the 1600 calorie plan, most days I'd be eating closer to 1800 calories. If I wanted that, I would have chosen the 1800 calorie plan. And each "meal/snack" has the total calories listed at the bottom...those are way off. Where are they calculating these totals from? Seems pretty random to me....
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('7825','Tracy','<a href=\'#comment-7389\' rel=\"nofollow\">@john barban<\/a> -\n\nThanks John, but it\'s not just one meal, one day that\'s higher...most of them are high.
@Tracy -

Hi Tracy,

The meal plans have a variation built into them to account for food substitutions, therefore on the "1600" plan some days hit 1600 calories right on the button, and some days are high like you said depending on what foods you want to choose off of the substitution guide.
The total listed calories don't really matter because we have a meal plan selector calculator that will pick the meal plan that works best for your body size. we also have multiple calorie levels offered, if you find one plan is too much you can simple move to a lower plan (but this rarely happens as the calculator will select the correct plan for you)

John
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('7824','john barban','<a href=\'#comment-7386\' rel=\"nofollow\">@Tracy<\/a> -\n\nHi Tracy,\n\nThe meal plans have a variation built into them to account for food substitutions, therefore on the \"1600\" plan some days hit 1600 calories right on the button, and some days are high like you said depending on what foods you want to choose off of the substitution guide.\nThe total listed calories don\'t really matter because we have a meal plan selector calculator that will pick the meal plan that works best for your body size. we also have multiple calorie levels offered, if you find one plan is too much you can simple move to a lower plan (but this rarely happens as the calculator will select the correct plan for you)\n\nJohn'); return false;">Quote

I was thinking about getting these meal plans, but I have a question first. I was looking at the 7 day sampler...and pretty much none of the calories add up correctly. If I were to eat all the food listed on the 1600 calorie plan, it would add up to more like 1800-2000 calories. Even buying really low cal milk and cheese, etc....there's just no way those days are only 1600 calories.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('7823','Tracy','I was thinking about getting these meal plans, but I have a question first.
Bernadette

The menus look like they can be used for the entire family. You would just need to make sure you get the quantity specified by the meal plan. Also, I would suggest using the substitute chart to give variety to the meals. Your family probably wouldn't appreciate the same meal several days in a row. I know I don't and consequently use variety.

All ingredients I would imagine are available most countries. I don't see anything unusual. Of course, if seasonally something isn't available, again the substitution chart will help you chose something that is.

As a note, the meal plans aren't etched in stone. You want to keep the p/c/f ratio that the plan calls for. Once you're familiar with that you can make up a meal, or switch meals around. That's one thing nice about these meal plans - there IS flexibility!
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('7821','Retirementcoach','Bernadette\n\nThe menus look like they can be used for the entire family.
Hi, Vince, I have not downloaded the meal plans yet as I was unsure whether they would contain ingredients that can only be purchased in America or if they contain food that is available everywhere. The other thing I wanted to know is if I am cooking something for myself, my husband and my children and we all want to get fitter etc will I have to cook 2 or 3 different meals. In other words are the meal plans "family friendly" ie can I cook the same food but each of us have different portions instead of us all eating something different and if so is this easy to determine from the food plans you provide. Also do you have a version of the book that provides measurements using the metric system rather than the imperial system of measurement - just to save time of course. I look forward to your response.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('7820','Bernadette','Hi, Vince, I have not downloaded the meal plans yet as I was unsure whether they would contain ingredients that can only be purchased in America or if they contain food that is available everywhere.
This is an interesting conversation....

I ll add my two cents (some might think it's only worth 1 cent :) )

The best investments I've made in trainers and coaches have been ones that HURT.

What does that mean?

Making an investment outside of my comfort zone are the decisions that lead to my best results.

Why?

Because more is at stake. More blood is in the game. I can not afford to let my investment go to waste.

Are you with me boys?

I remember when I was broke and hired a business coach for an outstanding amount of money. It became the best decision of my life and has lead to complete freedom. It resulted in a HUGE RISK and opening my mind to figure out WHERE I could get the money from - when I opened my mind, i found my answer.

Lets keep it positive and uplifting in here guys.

This blog has no room for whiners or complainers.

That's not the environment we want to foster and those are not the people we want to attract.

I want action takers. Doers. Real MEN (and women) who MAN UP (and women up) to the challenges and obstacles that make us better versions of ourselves.

Keep posting away here, I love to read your comments even though i can't reply to them all.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('7817','Vince','This is an interesting conversation....\n\nI ll add my two cents (some might think it\'s only worth 1 cent :) )\n\nThe best investments I\'ve made in trainers and coaches have been ones that HURT.\n\nWhat does that mean?\n\nMaking an investment outside of my comfort zone are the decisions that lead to my best results.\n\nWhy?\n\nBecause more is at stake.
